So yeah - in the next 12 hours, I'll be making my way towards the United States of America to attend my first EVER San Diego Comic Convention.

Kinda exciting really. I've never been to mainland US, just Hawaii and I'm thinking my mind is gonna be blown by the sheer amount of awesomeness (and unwashed geeks) that I'm gonna encounter.

Hope to catch up with some friends (that's what I call them, but to them I'm more of an acquaintance) that I've made over the years at New Zealand Armageddon Pulp Expos.

Kinda scared yet keen to show professionals my artwork. Do you know that I've never really ever taken the big step of showing comic book creators an actual folio of my work? I've always felt that I wasn't ready yet in terms of artistic skill. This time, I'm gonna bite the bullet and show my stuff cos I have no idea when I will be able to get to SDCC again.

But yeah - I should really stop typing this as I'm trying to finish pages for my SDCC folio (yeah, kinda last minute but I kept changing what I wanted to draw until Tuesday just gone.)

So, people who actually watch all the shit that I put up on my DA account, NZ's V Energy Drink are holding a competition on Facebook called 'Pimp My Life.'

The crux of the comp is that you send in an image and a brief description in 100 words or less of how you'd spend the $10,000 prize money on pimping your life.

I just got my new wrestling mask which I designed and had made in Mexico by a master luchador mask maker.

Let me just say - it is fan-freakin'-tastic!!!  I had a show on Saturday and decided to wear it in my match and yeah - I had no problems with it what so ever.  I could breathe without intrusion and I even forgot I had it on at one point.

But yeah - I'll load a photo of me and my new mask in my gallery.

Woo hoo!  I've just landed me a gig designing a t-shirt image for 2001 K1 World Grand Prix champion and fellow Samoan, Mark Hunt.

I'll post up the progress of the image as I'm working on it but yeah - it'd be cool to see my t-shirt design being worn to the ring in Japan.

Damn!  After joining Deviant Art a coupla years ago, I thought I'd dust off the old account and actually upload some of my artwork for the DA world to see.

So yeah - some of the artwork is a couple of years old, some of it a bit more recent.

Anyway - I hope to make some new friends up in here and even meet some of my fave artists and see what they are working on.

I'm also working on a Red Star comic pin up.  Will post up the progress on that later.
